One Yoga Teacher Training Requirements

In summary, there are four components to the One Yoga Teacher Training:

  1. Pre-training preparations (required)

  2. 1-month Bali immersion (required)

  3. Living Yoga Program - post-training deepening program (optional)

Pre-Training Preparations

The pre-training preparations are established to bring the body, heart and mind into alignment that you may arrive in bali for the teacher training with clear intention, openness, and integrity.

1. Daily practice 

Start practicing 4 to 6 times per week. We will be practicing 6 days a week for about 5 hours each day (asana, pranayama, meditation etc.)  Integrating a regular yoga practice into your life now will help you prepare for this intensive sadhana.

2. Required Reading

Please read the following texts prior to the training:

  1. Light on Life by BKS Iyengar

  2. Power of Now by Eckharte Tolle

  3. The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali by Chip Hartranft

The following two books will be used during our training, please purchase and bring:

  1. Teaching Yoga Essential Foundations and Techniques by Mark Stephens

  2. The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali by Chip Hartranft


  • Anatomy for Yoga with Paul Grilley (video)

4. Daily Journaling  

Journaling is a powerful way to mentally prepare for the training: to gain clarity of intention, bring your deepest values to the surface, explore and release any fears or anxiety, dissolve any expectations, to inspire yourself, and to soften and open to possibility. 

1-Month Teacher Training Immersion in Bali

The teacher training immersion is a 4 week intensive that includes  4 hours of daily practice (puja, sacred text study, japa, asana, pranayama, meditation, kirtan ) philosophy, workshops, community sharing and support. Throw some fun getaways, fire ceremonies, beach days, sound healing, this training promises to be an experience you won't soon forget. The training intends to provide both a direct experience of personal transformation, while also laying the foundations to support your teaching and spiritual journey moving forward.  

Full attendance is required for graduation. Exceptions may be made for illness on a case by case basis. 


Upon completion of the one month immersion in Bali, you will be issued a 200hr Yoga Alliance accredited certificate:

One Yoga Teacher Training
Hatha Yoga Teacher


Those who choose to participate in the Living Yoga Program and complete 100% of the components will be issued an additional 200hr continuing education certificate:  

One Yoga Continuing Education  
Hatha Yoga Teacher
Refinements in Bhakti Yoga, Karma Yoga, Raja Yoga, and Jnana Yoga
